Gas Treatment Plant

Gas Treatment Plant

The Gas Treatment Plant (GTP) would be located at Prudhoe Bay and would sit on approximately 200 acres. The GTP would be made up of three process “trains” to remove impurities from the natural gas that would flow from the Point Thomson and Prudhoe Bay reservoirs. Carbon dioxide would be removed, captured and compressed for reinjection into the Prudhoe Bay reservoirs.

The GTP would support a 3.3 BCFD (billion cubic feet per day) peak winter rate.

Project Map

The Alaska LNG Project is anchored by the Prudhoe Bay and Point Thomson fields. These fields are expected to deliver on average about 3.5 billion cubic feet of gas per day with about 75% from the Prudhoe Bay field and 25% from the Point Thomson field.
